The D. E. Shaw Group Selects Equinix for IT Infrastructure Deployment

Foster City, CA — May 23, 2005 — Equinix, Inc. （Nasdaq: EQIX）, the leading provider of network-neutral data centers and Internet-exchange services today announced that the D. E. Shaw group will deploy a portion of the company's IT infrastructure to an Equinix Internet Business Exchange™ （IBX®） center. The move will enable the D. E. Shaw group to deploy operations supporting the company's research and trading infrastructure within an industry-leading data center that offers the highest levels of performance and uptime.
